Every item we ordered from the appetizer to the dessert was prepared and served with excellence. The restaurant looks beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. I'm so grateful to the manager for fitting us in.

My husband and I have a standing late afternoon date at Rick's on Fridays. We sit in the lounge area and enjoy the ambiance, music and noise levels. The couches make the room feel cozy. The dishes we have shared have been first rate with attention to quality and detail. We have experienced the prime rib sandwich, beet salad, lobster bisque, tortilla soup, filet, and the rueben! The staff, although sometimes busy, have been attentive, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The bathrooms have always been spot clean! Following with a stroll around the historic square, this is OUR place. We sincerely thank Rick's for enriching our Friday date time together! Went to Ricks for my birthday. Very nice. Food was great. Had the filet ( carpetbagger) - was very good. The Mexican corn as a side was really good also. Service good. Definitely will go again.

We sat in the lounge. The ambiance was comfortable and the service was great. The crab dip was fantastic, there is a ton of seasoning on the tortilla chips though. The chicken salad and prime rib dip sandwiches were good. They could have been great with a little more seasoning and actual horseradish flavor in the cream for the prime rib. The onion rings were legit great!! The chicken friend chicken was the star. Perfectly creamy potatoes with just a tang of buttermilk. Delicious moist chicken and crust that makes it authentic! We will go again! Also, we were coming between soccer games in Melissa, so the dress code was casual.

Love Rick's! Live in Mckinney until 2 years ago....I noticed I never reviewed one of our favorite restaurants. Perfect balance of "fancy" and "food" from my perspective. Great steaks, great drinks, great atmosphere. Service has always been good.

1. I got so excited with the appetizers that I forgot to take pictures. 2. If you like salad, get the chop salad. It's one of the best salads I've eaten. 3. Ahi tuna was good. Nothing to shout about but it good. 4. Calamari was great! Get it.. it was cooked to perfection. 5. Oyster Rockefeller was also great. Lots of flavor. Get that too!! 6. My coworker got the fried chicken and liked it. The portion was big.. it was 4 pieces of chicken plus sides. Another person got the cauliflower steak. She did not like it... it was just boiled cauliflower with some seasoning and garnish thrown on top.

On a Monday we didn't think to make reservations so we could only sit in the bar which was fine. Our server was amazing and so sweet and attentive. My husband ordered the fried chicken which was average but enough to feed 3 people! I had the steak, whipped mashed potatoes & cream corn! These sides were to die for! The steak as extremely tender, I just wish it was seasoned a bit more. Great experience overall!

My husband and I just LOVE Rick's! The food is always amazing, the service is superb. The ambience is nice. My hubby got the NY Strip with baked potato. Said it was really good. I got the Filet. The filet was very tender and had good flavor. It was cooked a bit more then what I like, but delicious all the same. I got whipped potatoes and broccolini. Delicious!! Had the pleasure of having two Tx Pecan old fashions. The bartender is a genius. Absolutely delicious. Fun to mess with too.

Sweet little steakhouse, right inside the amazing Grand Hotel in the middle of downtown McKinney Texas. We had shrimp and grits, filet mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans, and the crabcake for appetizer. Everything was wonderful! The service was excellent! The restaurant was clean, well organized, and contained beautiful fresh flowers. Come early and visit the downtown shops, have a drink in the bar at the historic grand hotel, then dine at Rick's.
